Fault finding questions
Why does my safety switch keep tripping?
Usually because something on that circuit is leaking power to earth. Common causes are a faulty appliance, water in an outdoor light or power point, or damaged wiring. We test to find which one.
Can I just keep resetting it?
It's best not to. The safety switch is protecting you from a fault. If it trips again straight away or keeps tripping, turn it off and call us.
How long does fault finding take?
Many faults are found within an hour. Intermittent faults, like ones that only happen when it rains, can take longer, and we'll keep you updated as we go.
